Status Update

So as you may have noticed, I've been away for a bit.
I've been snowed under with college, work, and to top it off illness. I'm now back in the game. I'm going to try to get everything up to date within the next few days.
Here's a heads up: Once I've got all the notes sorted I will be reviewing memberships. The key thing here is whether you have the icon for the club somewhere prominent, as is part of the membership rules.
There will be no warnings. Latent members will be scrubbed from the list. As simple as that.





So who wants a job?
Ok kids, things seem to be going pretty well, people are submitting, we're getting genuine members who care about Polaroids, but there's one big problem! People keep ing the gallery! "Why is that a problem?" I hear you cry, "This means people like Polaroids!" Well, yes, it does. But it also means the original artist is not getting the support they need. (Of course I'm sure once the powers that be eventually sort out the communities app they have been promising us for months this will no longer be a problem)
Thus I need some help. I do not have time to keep on top of these erroneous s, so I need somebody who can help me.
Essentially what would be needed would be somebody who can log in most days, just for 10-15 minutes, send messages to all the ers directing them to the original artist's page, and that would be it.
Interested, send a note saying "I'm interested!"

Woohoo! So it looks like a Polaroid made a DD today. Many congratulations to *osquibb for his DD, La Porte Rougeatre!

All membership application are up to date. If you have submitted an application and haven't been accepted that is probably because you wroite 'Join please'. Not going to happen, buddy.
Next step will be submissions. I know some of you have added submissions to your membership applications, for future reference, please don't do that. It messes with my OCD filing system. So hopefully within the next few hours there'll be some shots in the gallery. However, I am being tempted to go out and shoot today. So it may be delayed. Who knows.

Yes, there are applications and submissions backlogged. I am working on them but I will not have much free time until Sunday. Everything will be dealt with in good time.

Have you no instant goodness? No flashy, splashy squares of joy? Or rectangles for that matter?
Should I set a monthly theme? That sounds like a good idea... I'll work on that. Anyway boys and girls, get them sexy Polas rolling in! Just remember, only one a week per Polaphile, boys and girls.

Rules for deviation submission
If you wish to submit to the club, please send us a note labelled 'Submission entry'. Anything else will be ignored. Within the note state your username, gear and materials used, deviation title and a link to the deviation page. Note that your deviation must be a JPEG, otherwise it will not be accepted.

Also, only one submission per member per week please.


Any breach of the club rules will result in an immediate ban of length decided by the admins.

To apply for membership:
Send a note to the club with the title 'Membership Application:username' where 'username' is replaced by your name. Within the note briefly outline who you are, and why you want to become a member, and what (if any) Polaroid gear you use. You will then be sent a note letting you know whether you have or haven't been accepted. Once you have been accepted please add our icon to your journal.

Club rules:
This is a supportive community. If you have nothing nice to say, keep quiet. Constructive criticism is, of course, happily taken.
Please keep language clean, this is not an adults only group.
If you wish to submit to the gallery (see appropriate journal) then you may only submit true Polaroids (yes this includes other instant formats), no fauxlaroids.
